The event was attended by deputy mayors of the city and the "For Orhei" faction.

On the open-air scene, those present danced under the songs played by Iuliana Beregoi, Dara, and enjoyed a great party with foam and DJ.

Orhei Lake has a history of more than 40 years, and it is the second biggest lake by surface in the Republic of Moldova. Unfortunately, in the last 20 years, former local administrations have not paid attention to this place of rest, with the lake constantly degrading.

Recently, at the suggestion of the Mayor of Orhei, Ilan Shor, Orhei Lake became a construction site where dozens of workers worked in a tours system, and today this important objective has become a real modern and unrecognized leisure area.

According to the administration of Orhei City Hall, the lake project is unique in our country and represents the second major project of strategic importance, made by the Mayor Ilan Shor team.

The lake has two beaches equipped with 100 loungers, benches, aqueducts and showers. The beaches have been set up with over 600 tons of white sand of the highest quality.

At the same time, the area of the lake was extended, with an alley with lanterns, pergolas, benches, flowers, trees and shrubs.

Modern lighting devices have also been installed throughout the lake. Exclusively for lovers of football and volleyball were built two modern sports grounds.

At the same time, more than 200 tons of metal and 6 thousand square meters of pavement were used for the reconstruction of the dam, the supporting wall and the adjacent areas of the lake.

Orhei Lake will become a tourist attraction for young people, with a fun park with slides, trampolines and a football field for children.

The entire area of the lake was equipped with audio and video systems.

Moreover, a parking lot with a capacity of about 50 cars was set up for visitors.

At the same time, the access to the lake was rebuilt at the suggestion of Ilan Shor. Thus, yesterday, July 1, Nicolae Stamati Street was inaugurated, which was rebuilt for the first time by the Municipal Enterprise SCL, with its own resources and capabilities.

The trees in the lake area were illuminated artistically, reflecting a range of color lights on the lake's water.

According to the Mayor of Orhei, this strategic object has been rebuilt so that the townspeople can feel at home in the town of Orhei.

"I said it once and I will say it  one more time today, for me, it is important that you, the Orhei dwellers, to lead a decent life, to feel good, comfortable and safe, so, together with my team, we make every effort to create modern conditions here at home in our dear town named Orhei, points out the mayor in a message sent to the Orhei dwellers.

Moreover, Ilan Shor stated that "For two years as mayor of Orhei, I have not guided myself by some templates for the administration of the city nor after the formalities, but after those real problems and needs that, firstly, I heard them from you. Together, we have been able to make many projects, of course we still have to work, but with your support, through work, step by step, and we will do it all."

The inaugural event culminated in a spectacular show of fireworks, admired by thousands of Orhei dwellers.
